The aim of this site is to help people find locally grown food in West Yorkshire. I found it a bit of a pain trekking through web sites, googling to find the dates of upcoming markets, writing down the dates, then losing the paper.

I wanted to make a site that made supporting our local growers, rearers, bakers and butchers a bit easier. There are loads of producers of fantastic food in West Yorkshire but unlike some regions in the U.K they don't seem to get as much publicity here. The idea is simple, here you can........

• check the dates of farmers' markets and find how to get to them.
• find out about the food shops in our towns and cities that are selling locally produced food
• contribute to the forum or email me to share your knowledge of food producers in west yorkshire.
• there's also a section with links to sites that know about rearing animals and growing food.

My name is Tim, I live in Bradford, keep a few chickens for eggs, grow some veg and seem to have been on the waiting list for an allotment forever. I don't want to tell people what to do, just help to share some information.
